This is good stuff. A couple of things for the GM to work out, like why are the goblins worshipping a gibbering mouther, but we play to find out! Thanks for this. I'll add to my local campaign.
Thank you. I'm glad you like it. My initial thought was that the Gibbering Mouther was giving the shaman some kind of mad magical powers in return, but I should have made that more obvious in the writing. I know that a Gibbering Mouther wouldn't normally be able to do that, but it's always fun to change the monsters a bit to subvert player expectations.
I don’t, I just fell in love with (solo) ttrpg’s again and was inspired by some posts I saw on here where people had drawn portraits of their characters and crude maps etc, and dove into the ”how to learn to draw” YouTube rabbit hole. Then I suddenly remembered reading Dyson’s blog some years ago when I played 4AD and had to look it up again.
I just got Kal Arath and figured, some maps of the dungeons one encounters during the hexcrawl would look awesome in the notebook, so maybe I’ll draw one someday.
I uploded one years ago of the one map I actually finished of 4AD but I can’t remember where and I don’t have the original anymore, sadly.
I am all too familiar with the learning how to draw Youtube Rabbit holes. I’ve spent more time there than I want to think about. But I love drawing, so maybe that is not such a bad thing.
I haven’t had the time to try out Kal Arath yet, but it looks interesting. I hope you have fun soloing your way through the steppes of Kal-Arath and end up with a cool map.

You've got room 7 named twice. I assume the second one is 8?
You're right. The last room is room 8. Thanks for letting me know!
I just (re)-read Dyson’s tutorial last night and then this pops up on my feed - it seemed so eerily similar that I had to click. Nice map!
Thanks! I love Dyson's maps. Although I do try to draw in my own style. Do you draw a lot of maps?

That looks like a fun side-quest! Nicely done! Thanks for the shoutout.
Thanks for the trash chute inspiration 🙂
